Okay, so if you are reading this, then you can safely assume that we know where you live (be afraid, be very afraid), and that you got our Christmas card.
It also means that at this very moment we are officially homeless (maybe we should have voted Democrat this year after all....). The government has officially taken our house, and is refusing to give us one back until next year, when we get to Okinawa. Yeah, yeah, it's not actually as bad as it sounds, but hey, why not run with it. We have had lots of feedback over the last few years about how much everyone loves the sarcasm and wacky stuff that gets said and done around our house, so we decided to take the time to set something up to chronicle the family, and our latest adventure in overseas shenanigans. And since Facebook has become little more than a repository of kitty memes and e-cards (don't get me wrong, I laugh at them too), and we DID get our start on a blog, we figured it would only be fitting to do it here.
So we present to you the return of SBT! (Shut up Celine, Rachael, Ron, Jaimi, Meredith and the rest. We've grown up some, and it'll be sarcastic. And good luck if you're waiting for it every Thursday, we can't plan like that these days).
So where were we? Oh yeah, homeless. No car. And as we speak, probably on the run somewhere westward. After the last 4 years in North Carolina, it was time for something different. And not California different (that's TOO different). So we decided Japan might be fun, and as of July, we had orders, and began planning. I won't go into all the details, but I'm sure we'll be sharing tips with everyone over the next month on what NOT to do if you ever decide to move to Japan. We'll also be sure to make note of any Avi-isms, random Bella quotes, or Lexi's "pretty moments". Not to mention a smattering of rants and what not else.
In the meantime, we wish everyone a happy holidays, and hope that we get to see as many of you as we can during our cross country December. And if nothing else, stop back in some time in January for an update on our arrival in Japan, and our new address. It will come in handy next August. You'll need to know where to send birthday presents after all. Right?
Oh, and as for why it looks like we wrote this on a Victoria's Secret bag......well, Daddy was outnumbered 4 princesses votes to his one :)
I am loving that y'all started a blog! The Ellis Clan will definitely be following you on your endeavors. We'll be thinking about you. Have a Merry Christmas! <3
